Hello Main Street Families,

I hope you enjoyed a fantastic President’s Day weekend!

It has come to my attention that some families are driving into the Sevilla Drive and Via Gatos neighborhood and bringing students to school through the side gate (by room 11).  I would respectfully ask that families do not drive into the neighborhood for this purpose.  Please use the main entrance and parking lot to bring your students to school.  I know the parking lot can be filled with vehicles during drop off and especially at pick up times, and your patience and use of this area for drop-off and pick-up is appreciated.

A reminder that students walking, skating or riding to school must enter the school and be in the supervised areas.  Students are not permitted to loiter outside of the supervised areas (playstructures and blacktop).

Thanks for sending your student to school, as we strive to improve on the attendance for the month of February (last year was 93.4%).  Over the last two weeks, 165 of our students attended every day!  Will your child’s attendance help us to improve on that?

Another opportunity to see the Warriors is through the Santa Cruz County SELPA (Special Education Local Plan Area) who are partnering with the Warriors and holding a disability awareness night on March 27th. See this link for more information.

Thank you for sending your students to us on a daily basis, the more your child is in school, the more they will learn!  If your child needs to be absent you can access the short term independent study option here.  Students who complete the short term independent study receive attendance credit.

¡Espero que hayas disfrutado de un fantástico fin de semana del Día del Presidente!

He notado que algunas familias están conduciendo hacia el vecindario de Sevilla Drive y Vía Gatos y trayendo a sus hijos a la escuela por la puerta lateral (junto al aula 11). Les pido respetuosamente que no conduzcan hacia el vecindario para este propósito. Por favor, utilicen la entrada principal y el estacionamiento para traer a sus hijos a la escuela. Sé que el estacionamiento puede estar lleno de vehículos durante la entrada y, especialmente, durante la salida, y les agradezco su paciencia y el uso de esta área para la entrada y salida.

Se recuerda que los estudiantes que caminan, patinan o van en bicicleta a la escuela deben ingresar a la escuela y permanecer en las áreas supervisadas. No se permite que los estudiantes merodeen fuera de las áreas supervisadas (zonas de juego y asfalto).

Gracias por enviar a su hijo/a a la escuela. Nos esforzamos por mejorar la asistencia durante febrero (el año pasado fue del 93.4%). ¡En las últimas dos semanas, 165 de nuestros estudiantes asistieron todos los días! ¿La asistencia de su hijo/a nos ayudará a mejorar?

Otra oportunidad de ver a los Warriors es a través del SELPA del condado de Santa Cruz (Área del Plan Local de Educación Especial) que se están asociando con el Warriors y celebrando una noche de concientización sobre la discapacidad el 27 de marzo. Vea este enlace para más información.

Gracias por enviarnos a sus alumnos a diario. Cuanto más tiempo esté su hijo en la escuela, más aprenderá. Si su hijo necesita ausentarse, puede acceder a la opción de estudio independiente a corto plaza aquí. Los estudiantes que completan el estudio independiente a corto plazo reciben crédito de asistencia.
