Main St Parent Newsletter 5/17/26

Hello Main Street Families,

Thank you for your attendance at the Main Street Open House last week, it is always a pleasure to see our families on campus!

The Friends of Main Street (FOMS) sponsored the production of Annie last week and I would like to thank all involved, especially director Mandi Lopez and her crew for the work they did in creating a memorable performance that our students and families will remember fondly for years to come.  Our student performers shined and the NBMS auditorium was packed with our families…thank you to all!

FOMS also organized the Main Street Bike, Walk, Roll, Skate to school last Thursday morning, and again, we are all appreciative of the wonderful memories events like this create!

If you have a fifth grade student, you are cordially invited to our Main Street Fifth Grade Promotion Ceremony, which is  taking place on Thursday, May 28th, from 9:00-10:00 AM here at Main Street School.

If your student will not be attending Main Street next year (and we think they are), could you please let the office know and also complete this form.

If your child needs to be absent you can access the short term independent study option here.  Students who complete the short term independent study receive attendance credit.  

Important Dates:  

5/22/26: Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast, MU room, 8:15-9:15 AM

5/25/26: Memorial Day, school not in session

5/27/26: Main Street Field Day, 9:30-11:20 AM 

5/28/26: Fifth Grade Promotion Ceremony, 9:00-10:00 AM.

5/28/26: Last school day for the 2025/26 school year

Hola familias de Main Street,

¡Gracias por su asistencia a la jornada de puertas abiertas de Main Street la semana pasada! Siempre es un placer ver a nuestras familias en el campus.

La asociación Amigos de Main Street (FOMS) patrocinó la producción de Annie la semana pasada y me gustaría agradecer a todos los involucrados, especialmente a la directora Mandi Lopez y su equipo, por el trabajo que realizaron para crear una presentación memorable que nuestros estudiantes y familias recordarán con cariño durante muchos años. Nuestros jóvenes actores brillaron y el auditorio de NBMS se llenó de familias… ¡Muchas gracias a todos!

FOMS también organizó el evento "Bike, Walk, Roll, Skate to school" (en bicicleta, a pie, en patines o en bicicleta) de Main Street el jueves pasado por la mañana, ¡y una vez más, todos agradecemos los maravillosos recuerdos que crean eventos como este!

Si tienes un estudiante de quinto grado, estás cordialmente invitado a nuestra Ceremonia de Graduación de Quinto Grado de Main Street, que tendrá lugar el jueves 28 de mayo, de 9:00 a 10:00 de la mañana, aquí en la Escuela Main Street.

Si su estudiante no asistirá a Main Street el próximo año (y creemos que sí lo hará), por favor avise a la oficina y complete también esta forma.

Si su hijo necesita ausentarse, puede acceder a la opción de estudio independiente a corto plazo aquí.  Los estudiantes que completen el estudio independiente de corta duración recibirán crédito por asistencia.

Fechas importantes:

22/5/26: Desayuno de agradecimiento a los voluntarios, sala MU, 8:15 a 9:15 AM

25/5/26: Día de los Caídos, no hay clases.

27/5/26: Dia de Campo en Main Street, 9:30-11:20 AM

28/5/26: Ceremonia de graduación de quinto grado, de 9:00 a 10:00 de la mañana.

28/5/26: Último día de clases del año escolar 2025/26
